The Play Music project consists of including music within the curriculum as a tool for interdisciplinary improvement for all students. Students are given the opportunity to learn to play any musical instrument (wind, string or percussion) and be part of the school symphony orchestra or the percussion orchestra.

Scientific studies indicate that music has positive effects on the cognitive, creative, intellectual and psychological development of children. It has even been shown to stimulate memory, concentration and the left hemisphere of the brain, responsible for language learning, numbers and the use of logic.

In the first year of Primary Education, students receive music lessons, both in the area of language and in vocal education and can take part in the creation of the SEK-Santa Isabel Symphony Orchestra. As of the second year of Primary Education they can choose between playing a symphonic or percussion instrument.
