Following the slogan #NoMoreMatildas, the students of 3rd Primary have learned about the role of Women in Science by celebrating the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, 11th February. Connecting with the Unit of Inquiry, Mountains and Rivers, they have learned how many of these Scientists have been key figures in the fight to protect the Environment, like Jane Goodall or Rachel Carson.
As a final result of their learning, they will share their knowledge by means of Informative Posters about many of the Investigators, Scientists or Scholars that have transformed history. In addition to their learning, with this task the school is progressing in complying with the Global Goals of Sustainable Development: 4. Quality Education, 5. Gender Equality, 10 Reduced Inequalities. Each of these objectives are key in order to achieve the 2030 Agenda of the UN.
