SEK-Santa Isabel celebrates World Children’s Day

The 20th of November is World Children’s Day which, each year, commemorates the signing of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. The goal of this day is to recognize that children are the most vulnerable group and are therefore those who suffer global problems most acutely.

At SEK-Santa Isabel we have commemorated this day through a variety of activities in all grades. Our boys and girls are aware of how fortunate they are to experience a childhood in which the fundamental rights of children are respected; they are conscious of and advocate on behalf of all the children that do not experience a childhood in which these rights are protected.
