Preparing the official exams Fit in Deutsch 1 and DELF Prime A1

We are beginning the new year inviting French and German students to register for the official exams offered by the Alliance Française (DELF Prime A1) and the Goethe Institute (Fit in Deutsch 1) that will take place this May.

These official exams are aimed at children and young people between the ages of 10 and 16 to obtain an internationally recognized official certificate. It accredits simple knowledge of the language and corresponds to the first level (A1) of the six of the scale of competences of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The exam consists of written and oral tests, in a similar fashion to the PET and KET exams the British Council offers at SEK Santa Isabel school. Students learn to ask and respond to simple questions, as well as to ask for something and react to a request. They learn to write about themselves and other people using simple expressions and phrases. The overall goal is to understand conversations and texts that deal with issues in their day-to-day environment. From now until the day of the exam there will be preparation during the classes of French and German.
