On Sunday, May 7, Primary students at SEK-Santa Isabel, during their Learning Hub hour, participated in the preparation of the Las Mayas de Lavapiés a local celebration that is collaborated with traditional groups that have invited SEK-Santa Isabel to participate as part of the Platforms de las Fiestas Populares Lavapiés.
This spring celebration in which Primary School students wrote poetry about the celebration and contributed to the elaboration of all kinds of floral ornaments with recycled materials that were used to make a stage/altar where girls and boys from the neighborhood distributed plants to those who approached the corner of Calle Salitre with Calle de la Fe 19.
It was a colorful, musical and picturesque neighborhood experience.
